What Every Small Business Website Needs
A simple checklist for small business websites: a clear headline, an easy way to contact you, basic SEO, and a system to follow up with every lead.
By DGTL PROS

Most small businesses don't need a 30-page website. They need one page that explains what they do, proves they're real, and makes it easy to get in touch. Here is what we put on every site we build.
1. A headline that says what you do
Visitors decide in a few seconds whether they're in the right place. Your headline should say what you do and where you do it, in plain words. "Roofing repair in Boise" beats "Excellence in every project."
2. One clear call to action
Pick the one thing you want visitors to do, like calling you, booking a call, or requesting a quote, and make it obvious. Put a click-to-call button in the header so mobile visitors can reach you with one tap.
3. A contact form that actually notifies you
A form is only useful if someone sees the message. Every submission should:
- Send an instant email alert to you or your team
- Save the lead somewhere it can't get lost
- Let you reply straight from the alert
4. Basic SEO done right
You don't need to be an SEO expert, but the basics matter:
- A unique page title and description
- Your business name, phone, and location on the page
- Structured data (schema) so Google understands who you are
- A sitemap submitted to Google Search Console
5. A way to track every lead
When leads live in your inbox, they get buried. A simple CRM shows every lead in one place, whether you've replied, and what happens next.
6. Fast on a phone
Most of your visitors are on their phones. Keep images compressed, skip heavy animations, and test the site on an actual phone before launch.
The short version
A clear headline, one call to action, a working form, basic SEO, and a CRM. That's the whole list, and it's exactly what our Launch Package includes. If you want help setting it up, let's talk.
